A rich cultural heritage

Les Landes is above all a region with its own strong identity, with traditions and customs that are peculiar to the region. So go for a stroll in the markets of Les Landes and you'll discover all the flavours of Basque cooking, with foie gras, duck, Chalosse beef and Armagnac featuring strongly. And while you're walking around, don't forget to have a look at the areas where they play pelote Basque, the region's favourite sport.

And finally, what would a camping holiday in Les Landes be without going to some of its famous festivals and férias, the most well-known of which takes place in Bayonne. You'll love the festive atmosphere which emerges from the five days dedicated to bullfighting! But remember, there's a uniform strictly required: white clothing, with a red scarf and belt!
